FAQ's

When should I book a general safety service?
We recommend a safety service at least once a year, or immediately before you head off on a long family road trip. It’s also a smart idea if you have just bought a used car and want a professional opinion on its condition. A general safety check catches the "silent" issues—like worn suspension bushes or aging brake hoses—that don't always trigger a warning light but can compromise your safety in an emergency.
What is included in a safety check?
Our safety check is a comprehensive visual and mechanical inspection of your vehicle’s critical systems. We inspect the brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, lights, and seatbelts. We also check fluid levels and look for any leaks that could cause a breakdown. You will receive a clear report on what is safe, what needs monitoring, and what requires immediate attention, so there are no surprises.
Is a safety service the same as a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC)?
Not quite. A Roadworthy Certificate is a legal requirement for selling or registering a vehicle and checks against a specific government standard. A General Safety Service is a maintenance check designed for your peace of mind and vehicle longevity. While it covers many of the same systems, a safety service allows us to advise you on upcoming maintenance (like brake pads that are 50% worn), whereas an RWC is simply a pass/fail inspection for that specific day.
My car seems fine. Why do I need a check?
Many safety components wear down so gradually that you don't notice the difference in handling or stopping power until it's too late. For example, shock absorbers degrade slowly over years, increasing your stopping distance without you realizing it. A professional inspection gives you an objective baseline of your car's health, ensuring it is truly safe for you and your family, not just "driving okay".
How long does a safety inspection take?
A thorough safety inspection typically takes about an hour. It’s a small investment of time for major peace of mind. Since we are located directly opposite Milton Railway Station, you can easily drop your car off, head into the city for work or shopping, and pick it up later, knowing your car is ready for the road.

"Found myself in a pickle recently with a flat tyre. RACQ were quick to the rescue and pumped it up but told me to get it repaired asap. I wasn't near home so I did a goggle search and found Pearson automotive. I explained my situation and these guys were great. They fitted me in straight away and repairs took next to no time. Best part was the price - they didn't try to up sell or overcharge. Best service and best value I've received in years, thank you! I highly recommend them."
