Why do I need to have my car Serviced?
Regular Car Servicing is a maintenance and safety program for your car. Your car's lubrication and cooling systems require regular checks and new lubricants to protect running parts. These are checked and replenished during a Service.

Wearing parts, suspension, brakes and general operation of your car are monitored and you could save money and reduce safety risks by having worn or broken parts checked and replaced early.

My car is new or still under Warranty. Should I only Service my car with the original manufacturer?
Your manufacturer's warranty is NOT AFFECTED by servicing with Pearson Automotive.

Pearson Automotive is approved for Log Book Services under Manufacturer's Warranty. We can endorse your car's logbook - so you can track the history of your car's maintenance. A regular maintenance and Service record could improve the resale value of your car too!

How often should I have my engine Tuned?
Older cars may need to have their engine tuned more often than modern cars. With electronic injection, engine management systems and fuel injection - engine tuning is mostly automatic. Although, it is imperative to ensure these new systems are operating properly.

Pearson Automotive have the latest equipment designed to check your car's engine management systems. Our trained technicians will diagnose your car to ensure you are getting optimum performance. Which also relates to optimum fuel economy. Ask Pearson Automotive to check your car's engine management systems today.

Will you contact me before extra work?
Before any added repairs are carried out, you are contacted and notified of any additional costs involved. We will not carry out any added work without your prior consent.

There's a strange noise coming from my car. What should I do?
Book in your car with Pearson Automotive as soon as possible. Any unusual mechanical noises, rattles or shuddering often mean that something may be malfunctioning and it may even compromise your safety.

What kind of Oil should I put in my car? Synthetic Oil or Mineral Oil?
Pearson Automotive recommends high quality Valvoline Oils. Older cars may be suited to mineral type oil which is lower in cost. Developed in Motor Racing - Synthetic Oils are of the highest standard, with special elements to minimise friction on moving parts in your engine.

Synthetic Oils can even extend the service life of your car. Pearson Automotive can advise which Valvoline Oil product is best suited to your car. Your Pearson Automotive technician can show you how to check your oil between Services.

Do you check my Tyres during a Service?
Tyres are one of the most important items on your car and directly related to your safety. Pearson Automotive technicians will check your car's tyres during Servicing. Should you need a replacement - We will recommend the tyres best designed for your car.

We can offer a complete Tyre replacement service: Fitting, Balancing and even Wheel Alignments.

What is a Wheel Alignment?
Modern cars have very sophistocated suspension systems which offer great comfort and safe road handling. This means that there are many moving parts which need to stay correctly adjusted.

It's possible that your car may hit a bump, or some wearing may cause the wheels to actually move out of correct alignment. This can cause tyres to actually run off true - this reduces ride quality, it may become heavy on the steering with the steering wheel pulling to one side. Tyre wear increases - which ultimately costs you money.

We recommend regular Wheel Alignments for your car. Cars with fully independent suspension may even require aligning all four wheels. Book in your car for a Wheel Alignment with Pearson Automotive today.

Something is leaking from under my car. What should I do?
If your car is Air Conditioned, it is possible that water may be coming from the air conditioning unit in your car, and it may even be a normal operation. There are several fluid storage areas and many fluid systems in your car.

If anything is leaking, there may be a malfunction to one of these systems - and it could be damaging to your car. We recommend booking in to have your car checked at Pearson Automotive. We can check to make sure noting is damaged.

What about things like Windscreen Wipers, Lights and other items on my car. Are these checked during a Service?
Pearson Automotive will check items on your car according to the level of Service you request. You can ask us to take special attention to any of these items if you think it may need checking.
